The Sure Way to the Highway is a family and veteran-owned drivers ed school that provides exceptional hands-on driver education throughout Tampa Bay. We have over 30 years of experience teaching students from all backgrounds, including those with physical or mental disabilities!
ONE-ON-ONE ATTENTION
Our drivers ed courses are behind the wheel, moving from basic controls and vehicle familiarization to traffic patterns and navigating busy streets. Tutoring for written drivers’ exams is also available.
Whether it be behind the wheel or in-class our instructors go above and beyond to make sure you understand every driver ed lesson's material with their one on ones tailored just for you!

ABOUT US
Our owner/operator, Douglas, is a U.S. Army veteran and teaches students of all backgrounds, having taught drivers young and old. Douglas is an ex-firefighter, was a Pasco County employee for 34 years, and is State Certified to teach driving. He also has a history working with World Relief.
A Sure Way to the Highway provides the best driver's ed safety classes and personalized instruction possible. Our level of instruction is unique in that most of our classes take place behind the wheel, not in a classroom. In controlled environments, we go over all the basics necessary for any driver to master the road or pass their driving test. We also offer the Florida 3-in-3 Crash Course; these courses must be taken within 90 days of your third crash in three years to avoid cancellation of your driver's license.
Some insurance companies will accept a certificate from our driving school and will lower your insurance rate by up to 10%! Ask us how we can help you be a better driver and get a better rate.
